Along with the other devastating climate emergencies that are occurring India has currently run out of rice and tomatoes due to extreme weather.
India supplies around 40% of the worlds rice catastrophically leaving several billion people without their primary food staple.
Reportedly McDonalds in India is serving hamburgers without tomatoes leaving millions more without their primary food staple and being without tomato sauce, bruschetta, lasagne, salsa is simply not possible to comprehend.
This really is a climate emergency.
Switching off destroying all life on earth coal use can and must be rapidly done.
It’s easy. Really.
(a few hours after typing that have been very eloquently reminded that there are plenty of noodles – that’s good. The optimist in me would type that could be a boon for wheat producers except most are unfortunately currently drought effected due to extreme heat.
Mains irrigation to farmland would make sense a very practical use of tax payer funds and very high reward for minimal cost – as an example mains irrigation to all farmland in Australia (that doesn’t already have it) would be a small fraction of the cost of that absurd costly bureaucratic nuclear submarine deal – those submarines are so big they are visible from space not exactly stealthy and only a few is non optimal for the vast coastlines and shallow waters around Australia.
Mains irrigation to farmland provides significantly more employment than coal mines, permanent drought proofing and guaranteed food security – vital for national security)
(4 September 2023 – Gosh – unfortunately a few unintelligent corrupt freemason federal Australian bureaucrats today inexplicably approved yet another coal mine to be operational for another fifty years causing huge backlash from many. Signing that coal mine paperwork requires absolutely zero skill ethics nor integrity. Got to be kidding bureaucrat this has been a decade of the warmest years on record and more climate disasters to come.
Why did some good engineers create the Snowy Scheme several decades ago – and still reliably producing zero emissions electricity more than seventy years on. Was there any snow this year unintelligent bureaucrat)
